David's 32nd Birthday

David's 32nd Birthday was...
satisfactory depending on who you ask.

The cake was...
chocolate and ummmm...
most of it wasn't burnt.

The part that wasn't burnt was the middle.
It didn't even bake all the way.

So we tried to cook just the middle.
Note: Cakes do NOT cook well on the stove top.

All David wanted for his birthday was a
new lunch box.

That seemed like something you get for your,
7th birthday...
So Lori made a calendar for his office.

He was happy and that is all that mattered on his
32nd birthday.

Yard Work

We had 2 "landscaping" projects going yesterday.

This was our yard after the storm in July 2008.
We cut down the tree and tried to "kill" the stump.
It required cutting the stump down low,
then pouring this toxic mixture and covering it with a bag.

We tried to grow grass last year over the top,
but it didn't work.

So David is trying again this year.

We will see how it works...
let's keep our fingers crossed.

In the backyard, Alexis was busy with her own landscaping.

She gathered the rocks, and placed them
very strategically around the fire pit.

This was her favorite rock,
because it was cracked and she threw it hard
until it broke.

Her project was not quite done,
but she was happy with the work
that she had done thus far.

1st Camp Fire of the Season

After much begging for weeks...

we started up the camp fire.

The girls had a lot of fun,
hanging around while David tended to the fire.

They each got "Glow Wands".

Adriana was warned that she needed
to make sure that her chair was stable.

Oops! I guess it wasn't stable.

She decided that she would rather
sit on the ground than deal with the chair.

Tis the season for camp fires.
Our first one of the year was a...
SUCCESS!

Easter

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny came to the Little house.

He brought an "Egg Puzzle",
for each of the girls.

Alexis insisted on getting her puzzle done,
before she ate any candy.
