Friends and Gerbils Part 2

We had more friends over for gerbil FUN!

Adriana, Isaac, Jenae, Alexis, and Noah.

We did an experiment that
Adriana read about in her Gerbil book.
The gerbils never tried to jump over their legs.

Noah was happy watching the craziness.

Isaac was happy being involved.

He also enjoyed cuddling with Friend Bear.

Pre-sen-ting, A-lex-is!

Alexis' 1st grade class had
a visitor come.

In one morning,
she: planned, dressed, and practiced a play.
"The King's New Clothes".

The production began at 11:30am.
Alexis was a "Cake Maker".

Lori was sure that she would be sooooo shy,
that was not the case.

This is the cast of the play.

After the play, Lori joined Alexis for lunch...
YUMMY!

Friends and Gerbils Part 1

Our friends, Andrew, Emily, and Ryan
came over to see the Little gerbils.

Emily was the first person...
EVER to actually hold Smokey.

Adriana enjoyed holding Foggy,
for a minute.

Smokey enjoyed crawling on
Alexis for a minute.

Andrew, Adriana, Foggy, Emily, and Ryan.

What have we done NOW?

Last Saturday, we spent time together.
Adriana and David went sledding.
Alexis and Lori have proof
of what trouble they got into.

First, we got Alexis' hair cut with layers.

Next, we went to Petco
and got "Foggy" for Adriana.

We also got her sister
"Smokey" for Alexis.

The girls absolutely LOVE
our 2 Little gerbils.

Paper Clay

For our Tuesday activity, it has now gone from:
Playdoh to...
Magic Mush to...
Paper Clay!

First, you to put 2 cups of construction paper
into a bowl.

Just like this!

Then you add 4 cups of warm water to a blender.

Add your construction bits in,
and blend thoroughly to a pulp.

After you squeeze all the water out.
Then you add 1/2 cup of flour and 1/2 cup of water.
And mix until your face looks like this.

Lastly, you sculpt your Paper Clay and
then let it dry for 1-2 days.
I'm pretty sure that the "Crazy Hair" had
something to do with how well this worked out.

that has gone from playing with Playdoh
to playing with Magic Mush.

Magic Mush:
3/4 cup of cornstarch
1/3 cup of water
food coloring.

Adriana had a "good" mixture going.

Alexis had a "gross" mixture going.

Time Together

Last weekend, we spent one on one time
with eachother.

Lori and Adriana headed off to
Adriana's first pedicure.

Adriana picked red polish,
then the nail technician put
the pretty flower design on her big toe.

Alexis and David headed off for
the hills to go sledding.

By the end, Alexis was going down
the hill by herself.
