Fun with Cheryl

Cheryl came for a visit
We hit the Mall Of America

Cheryl was SUPER excited to go

It was lunch time, so we stopped by the Crepe Stand.

Cheryl's choice was the Chicken Santa Fe
it was delicious!

Then we tried the Flying Dutchman

Cheryl was so far up, but I wanted to do a close up.
So it didn't do the height justice.

Lori was too afraid...
but Cheryl totally went on the
Spongebob Rollercoaster Ride.

She couldn't not go to Rainforest Cafe

Woody is HOT!

NO really, really HOT!She left Macy's with her arms full of bags.

That night we headed to the
Tennant Cabin.

In attendance was: Emily

Cathy and Lori

Aunt Cheryl, Adriana, Erik, and Andrew

Alexis and David.

Aunt Cheryl was enjoying the smores.

She looked SO cute in her new skirt.

Alexis' Skills

Alexis participated in her
2nd Grade Talent Show.

Here she is in the audience waiting for her turn.

Her group chose to jump rope.
Alexis, Maddie, Kelsey, Eden, and Shelby.

She did WONDERFULLY!

She was SO glad that her Aunt Cheryl
drove all the way from Iowa to watch.

We stopped by Adriana's class.
Aunt Cheryl got to see her in action.

She was working with a group of a clay project.
Macie, Zach, Michael, and Adriana.

Deck

Last weekend we stained the deck

There was a lot of work to be done

Last Spring, David and his dad fixed the deck,
and replaced some of the boards.

The whole family was involved.

Adriana and Lori started here.

Alexis started here

Here is proof that Lori got her hands dirty.

After 2 full days...

We got it done!

Parkview Carnival

The weather was PERFECT this year for the
Parkview Carnvial.

Alexis brought her friend, Cori

They started out with the Hula Hoop Contest.

They really got into it.

Alexis won!

Then Alexis was off to get her face painted.

After that they made their own,
Sandy Candy.

Adriana was a part of the Decapo Choir,
which sang, "The Star Spangled Banner".

They never slowed down and went straight to the
Jumping Castle.

Down the Inflatable Slide.

And onto the ground...apparently.

Adriana tried the Cake Walk.

Alexis and Cori wanted a try at it also,
Alexis won a bag of candy!

On our way out, we stopped at the Fire Truck.

The Police Car.

Cori was excited.

And the Garbage TruckWe are glad that Cori could join us
for a great time at the Parkview Carnival.

Mother's Day

I got myself: a pillow, Red Vines, and socks.
These are the crafts/gifts that I received
from the girls for Mother's Day.

Play Dates

It is not too often that a family has...
2 girls that are in 5th grade and 2nd grade.

Adriana is friends with Maddie.

Alexis is friends with Maddie's sister, Shelby.

Adriana and Maddie made a pan of brownies.

Everyone enjoyed them.

On our way out, we stopped to take a group shot,
by the Little Log.

Did you know that 1/2 a log will still roll?
There were minor cuts and bruises,
but everyone agreed that they had a good time.
