Carving Pumpkins

This year, the girls were very hands on with the carving process

Adriana was going to carve and decorate a CLOWN pumpkin

Alexis was thinking that "traditional" would be a way to go

Adriana dug right into those pumpkin guts

Alexis was happy to be done playing with the slimy guts

After a little bit of paint, and some tissue paper...
they called it a night

This year the Chili Cook Off and the Trunk or Treat were combined

Unexpected Trip

Grandpa got in a bad accident on his 4 wheeler

So we raced down to Iowa to be with him

He spent 2 days in the hospital,
and this was the view out of his window

David's sister Jodie stopped by on her lunch break from work

Alexis kept herself busy with...

Electronics!

Adriana actually fell asleep
right in the middle of the room
on the floor

When she got bored with electronics
(we know that rarely happens)...

Here is the caravan/parade to bring Grandpa home

David is so glad he went down to help

Grandpa was thrilled to leave the hospital

No need to rub your eyes,
this is exactly what they were doing the next day

Grandpa does NOT just sit and rest.
He got right to work on his 4 wheeler

David had fun being with his dad.
Maybe next week,
Grandpa will feel up to checking the shocks.

The girls had fun with the caterpillar and the golf cart.

More Soccer

This was Adriana's 2nd to last game

It was SO COLD and windy that day

She still goes after the ball,
sometimes she even passes the ball to herself.

Alexis was assigned to draw a poster,
about Fire Safety.

She worked quite a few hours on this,

More Soccer

This was a special game for Adriana,
because her school was playing against
her good friend Emily's school.

We got all set up,
and every time the ball was down the field...
this is seriously what we saw!
They wouldn't move unless we moved,
then it was just to be in our way more!

We saw this side of the field fine,
and all the activity that was going on there.

The clouds were moving by at a quick pace,
due to the strong breeze we had going.

Adriana was so glad to have Emily there.
PS There was no way the boys could be in our way
the 2nd half, so they decided to finally move back.
Ugh! Teenagers with their saggy pants!

And Cathy was there for support also.
She was explaining to Lori that there was an
understanding that no pictures of her would be taken :)

The girls each had a reason to get fancy this last week

Adriana had a Photo Shoot for Young Womens

Alexis went to a Halloween themed birthday party.
They went to a Haunted House and she got her face painted.

The other morning, Alexis and Lori were waiting.

So we decided to do a little Chalk Art

Alexis thought that we should do a big heart

one for each member of the family

Alexis' Morning

Alexis got ready and the morning looked wonderful outside

It is supposed to be another hot day, by MN October standards.
However, it was chilly this morning.

She is waiting for her friend to come by so they could ride together.

They will be riding their bikes all the way home together,
after school for a quick play date.

Another Soccer Game

Adriana had another soccer game yesterday

Her team is getting ready

Adriana is all serious when the game starts

It was HOT and WINDY,
after a little Google search...
Arizona - 82 degrees
Iowa - 80 degrees
Minnesota - 81 degrees

Here is a quick kick away from the opposing team.
The final score was 3-1, Adriana's team did not win.

While Adriana was playing soccer,
Alexis was doing gymnastics.
The thumbs up at the end is a nice touch.

She is so goofy, and she loves it!
